The social network is a theoretical construct useful in the social sciences to study relationships between individuals, groups, organizations, or even entire societies ( social units, see differentiation ). The term is used to describe a social structure determined by such interactions. A social group consists of two or more people who regularly interact on the basis of mutual expectations and who share a common identity. It is easy to see from this definition that we all belong to many types of social groups: our families, our different friendship groups, the sociology class and other courses we attend, our workplaces, the clubs and organizations to which we belong, and so A social network is a social structure between actors, either individuals or organizations. It indicates the ways in which they are connected through various social familiarities, ranging from casual acquaintance to close familial bonds.
